2024 Transplant Games

Join Team Ohio for the Transplant Games of America in 2024!

Pictured is Audrey Holtzman, LifeCenter's diversity and inclusion program manager, at the 2022 Transplant Games in San Diego, with Mr. Robert Chelsea, the first African American face transplant recipient. Mr. Chelsea received his transplant in 2019 after being struck by a drunk driver six years prior, resulting in burns over 60 percent of his body and face.

The Donate Life Transplant Games is a sport festival event produced by the Transplant Games of America (TGA) for individuals who have undergone life-saving transplant surgeries.

Competition events are open to organ transplant recipients, bone marrow recipients, corneal and tissue transplant recipients, donor families, living donors, transplant professionals, and advocates. More than an athletic event, the Transplant Games of America highlight the critical importance of organ, eye, and tissue donation, while celebrating the lives of organ donors and recipients.

You can sign up to compete with Team Ohio by filling out the new member form. You will also need to register to participate in the games on the TGA website. Registration opens in 2024.

The Transplant Games will take place in Birmingham, Alabama, July 5th through July 10th, 2024. For more information, visit the TGA site here.
