July 2024

For the last three years, my life has revolved around dialysis treatments, three times a week for four to five hours. I hate it and wouldn’t wish dialysis on anyone. I’m exhausted and have experienced forgetfulness, hair loss, blood clots, and passing out. I can only work two days a week and struggle to make enough money to pay my bills.

I’m a loving and caring daughter, aunt, sister, and friend. People describe me as witty, compassionate, smart, personable, and loyal.

A new kidney will allow me to pursue my dreams. I want to get married and have a family. I’d love to travel without the constraint of dialysis treatments. I want to be part of my nephews’ lives and see them graduate from high school. I want to complete my college degree and work full-time with children.

I am hoping to receive a kidney from a living donor because waiting for a deceased donor kidney could take three to five years.

For anyone interested in being tested to be my donor, please contact Breanna Bronson at The Christ Hospital at (513) 585-1427. All costs for testing and surgery are covered by my insurance. Please follow my story on Facebook at facebook.com/carmelita.c.jones.
