Volunteers Are Vital
LifeCenter Volunteers are vital to our mission to save, heal, and change lives through organ, eye and tissue donation, while honoring those who gave. We recognize them as Donate Life Ambassadors who make an immeasurable contribution in awareness and education about the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Many of our volunteers have a personal connection with organ, eye and tissue donation. Others, who we refer to as Champions, strongly support our mission. Volunteer support enables us to better serve patients and their families, strengthen community relations, and continue to provide educational outreach programs to the Tri-state area.
There are a variety of projects for LifeCenter volunteers to contribute their time and talent towards. Volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to:
- Guest Speaking at Area Schools, Service Clubs, Organizations, Churches, Hospitals and Businesses
- Managing Information Booths at area Health Fairs
- Office Projects including mailings, phone calls, light administrative work
- Assisting with Special Events
- Media interviews
- Delivering materials to Bureau of Motor Vehicles offices, churches etc.
Volunteer Training
LifeCenter offers a virtual orientation through its volunteer website. Every volunteer must complete and answer questions about the orientation video to qualify as a volunteer.
The orientation video includes detailed information about our organization, organ, eye and tissue donation, effective communication skills, and more.
New volunteers will have a chance to meet LifeCenter staff prior to volunteering at our quarterly Open Houses in March, June, September and December.
