October 2023 LifeCenter Calendar Story of Hope

I do not wish on anyone the despair and hopelessness a person can feel who needs an organ transplant to live. The circumstances surrounding my ordeal seemed overwhelming. However, I kept my faith and remained close to my family and friends. I did not know there was someone out there, someone who had never met me, yet prepared to bless me with life in the event they lost theirs. Every day, I appreciate and honor the person who donated their liver to me. My family and friends are extremely appreciative as well. While I will never meet my donor in this life, I look forward to thanking them many times over in the next.
